Brian

We finished building our new house in a rural location in SW MI in late 2017 New well, with good water. About a year later, we started noticing a faint rotten egg smell in the shower. It seemed to be getting worse over time. Initially, I was thinking anerobic bacteria in our well. It was only the hot water that smelled though, so I started looking into different types of sacrificial anodes for the water heater. Mixed reviews on their effectiveness, especially for well water. I stumbled across the Water Odor site, and being an engineer, I was highly skeptical because it sounded too good to be true. Lots of very positive reviews though, so what the heck -- I'll try some snake oil! The device arrived quickly and was easy to install. I was even more skeptical, as how in the world could this tiny thing possibly do what the big anode couldn't?! By the next day, I couldn't believe the smell was almost totally gone. And as bad as my hearing and eyesight are, I have a nose like a bloodhound (and that's often not a good thing!). After a shower and using more hot water to flush the water heater tank, there was absolutely no detectable odor remaining. Fast forward 4 years, and it's still working great. Haven't had to touch it. I highly recommend this unit, and what have you got to lose? He will refund you if you aren't satisfied.

Thank you, Matt!
