In 2020 I purchased a rehab home. Septic was bad, softer and water tank. I purchased this system not knowing if it works or not but the website was very important to me understanding how these devices worked and I wanted everything to be brand new and the best protection available. Last month my softer went bad, the plumber recommended I flush my tank as well. The water was clear with no signs of rust flakes. My plumber had never heard of this type of devise. He checked the voltage of the unit, 2.1 volts which was within the parameters the website states. I will say I am impressed with the product and have ordered 3 more for my rentals. The product comes with pre-taped threads and easy to read instructions, good product!

Very pleased with this product. I did a lot of reasearch and this once seemed to be more detailed on how the system works. It has been 1 month and the voltage is 3.1 volts in our old tank. Our newer tank has 1.9 volts. The product description is correct.

I purchased a product 8 months ago for my new tank on Amazon. It did nothing but ruin my water quality and my tank. Black debris in the faucet and the odor was atrocious, not rotten eggs but a different smell I cant describe. The company sent me a new power supply saying it would take care of the problem and it did nothing. Contacted the company again and was send another anode. When taking the old one out. The black coating on the anode was gone and showing a rusty silver metal. I was pissed since another anode is going to do the same thing but installed it anyway. The new one leaked from the top down the side of my tank and smelled like a toilet. Contacted the company again and was send a new power supply and anode which I threw away. I had to by a new tank and repair the unility room floor from the water damage. My ending, purchased this product after reading very informative website. No odor or chunks of black crap in 3 months power to the andode stays at 2.9 volts. My problem is solved and I thank the company for this and their 12 emails back to me.

Interesting product

Never heard of this type of product. Item arrived in 2 days, installation took around 15 minutes. We never had any odor, I was tired of changing the anodes. The various voltage your website talks about are good with me. We have a well system with 2 tanks with a softener system. Voltage was lower during rejuvenation, higher with static. I feel this system works as advertised. I want to thank you for the immense information you have on your site. Other products should do the same. Thumbs up!

I am a 3 year retired electrical engineer for soil imbed corrosion protection for oil containment and hazard chemical vessels. Our home in the mountains is highly acidic and necessitates 2 year replacement of our 3 water tanks. The anodes do not last past 6 months and the tanks fail no matter how often I replace them.

I purchased this product 7 months ago. I was hesitant of the price being so cheap.

I flushed the tank Memorial Day; the water was clean with no product debris.

This is an affordable product and it works as the seller claims. I have had no odor or sediment in my home tank for 8 months which is why I will purchase them for my rentals. Great product!

Works as advertised.

I purchased this product off of amazon on april, 2022. It worked as advertised for 2 weeks. 3.5volts then 1.7 volts then 3.0 volts. The voltage flux may be due to our softner. The light on the black box turned red so I emailed the seller. I was contacted by matt and asked for a photo of the installation. To make a long story short I have a bradford tank and installed the T connection ontop of the original anode. Matt informed me that the light was due to the installation, I took it apart and the anode was broken in half. I got the right piece to go into the bottom tee, and Matt sent me a new anode rod. It has been working with the green light since. I don’t have anymore hot water odor and I feel this product works as he says it does.

Hello Matt, The anode was a bear to remove. I wish I would have known that going into it, you website should point this out. I tested your products output voltage as your website claims that it adjusts automatically. 3.3 volts when installed 3.5 1 hour later 3.1 2 days later 2.9 three days later 3.1 four days later 3.1 Your product rocks, smell is gone and the voltage does adjust. Hi Matt and Team!

Attached is a photo of a successful installation of the Water Tank Tec powered anode into an older generation Stiebel Eltron Accellera 300 heat pump water heater.

The water heater ate up two full-size magnesium anodes in less than 4 years. Removing the second anode was quite an endeavor ... I had to drill out the mass of corrosion and clean the tank threads.

As you can see, however, ultimately there is a lovely new powered anode!

I sent this company 16 emails trying to learn about their product. Matt answered every one of them so I bought 12 of them. 2 led lights failed within 3 months. I was sent a new power supply and a replacement LED for the other one which was easy to install 5 minutes tops. I am sticking with this product.

I had strong hot water odor so I determined the anode was the cause. Purchased this system on 1-23-2022 and waited for the results. Today is 3-16-2022 and the power supply is putting out 3.2 volts to the stick. Works as advertised. Purchased 2 more for my rentals.

Just installed your anode after purchase in May. Original anode so tight that 6 side 1 1/16 socket eventually rounded the hex head points with no movement. I used a 27MM extractor socket and electric impact gun to finally remove after repeated attempts. Breaker bar with pipe extension spun the full tank more than it could be held down! I guess they just want to sell new water heaters....Luckily I have a pretty complete tool set and some experience. Green light on and I'm hoping for the best. Have a few pics if you'd like. Appreciate your effort on all the website info. Thanks!

I installed the Water Tank Tec ICCP system last night. I ordered it last Saturday, and it arrived the following Tuesday. Given that Monday was a bank holiday, that is really fast.

We have never had a hot water odor problem, but our track record with water heater longevity has been lousy. Our softened water kills water heaters quickly, and over the years I have discovered I need to replace the sacrificial anode every 18 -24 months. So, I am installing this ICCP system in a new Bradford White 50-Gallon conventional gas unit to maximize its life without requiring a $45 magnesium rod replacement project every two years.

My buying decision was based upon a thorough review of this website, and its careful explanation of the science and the advantageous engineering differences between this unit and other competing products. I also liked the price, which was half of the cost of a leading competitor's product. I have confidence this addition will maximize my tank’s useful service life while minimizing my maintenance and time investment.

After installation, the light is green, and my anode is measuring 2.66 V, which seems consistent with other users’ results.

For Bradford White owners:

The only issue worth mentioning to owners of newer B-W tanks is caused by the thicker insulation layer on the top of the tank. From the instruction's recommendations, I was aware of the need to keep the length of the outlet nipple between the tank and the tee fitting as short as possible to maximize the amount of anode length reaching inside the tank.

Therefore, I bought the recommended “close” male-to-male nipple which is very short. But with the latest B-W tanks, the distance from the threads in the tank to the top of the shroud is now pretty far. Using the shorter “close” nipple size, I could not get the fitting to clear the flue collar as I screwed the whole assembly down into the tank. So I finally concluded that a 2” nipple is the shortest length that will allow enough clearance.
