Just installed today (6/30) on a water well system with an AO Smith 40 gallon electric hot water tank. The anode would not come out so I went with a hot water outlet installation.
Hopefully the sulfur smell is gone tomorrow!

David

Very pleased with this product and customer service. My power supply was flashing red so I contacted the company. Found out the ground was loose and the green led came back on. Great customer service!
I purchased the most highly rated product on amazon. 4 month later water was seeping out of the top of this peice of crap and leaking on my garage floor. this ruined my tank.I contacted the company and demanded my money back which they gave me. I bought a new tank and the water stunk to hight heaven. I got this brand and 9 months alter the odor is still gone and when i flushed the tank last week as matt recomended the water was clear with nothing in it. Great product.
We purchased one in 2021 last week the power supply blinked red. Matt replaced it and was at my dorostep 4 days later. The LED is back to green, thanks Matt!
Very pleased with the product. We purchase 2 units 6 months ago to test them before we introduced into our product line. The power supply voltage and current does fluctuate as stated on the website. I would recomend.
I dont have an odor issue, an adode issue. Wanted to wait until i new for sure this product was worth the hype. When i isnstalled it last feb it showed 2.3 volts going to the andoe it was 2.1 volts a month later and is now at 2.7 volts. The green light stays lit and i dont any issues. i flushed it last week and the water was clear. Like the product.
Thanks so much for getting back with me in a quick manner. I checked the installtion as you recomended and everything was correct. I did check our tanks temp as you recomended, it was set at 110 so I adjusted it and the odor is gone. Hubby flushed the tank and 5 minutes of crap came out. No odor since. Thanks very much Matt.
I will say first and foremost there is a lot of crap on the market. I was confident about my purchase of the Corro product and the dam thing leaked 4 months later. It filled up the tank and overflowed the top. This caused me to replace my utility room floor. I don’t like to give reviews but I will in this case. I checked your power supply voltage last week after 2 months, it goes up and down but stays with 1.7 to 3.1 volts. I like your products rubber seal and it does not leak! Thanks Matt very much and I will recomend.
Hi Matt
I installed my powered anode today.
It was extremely hard to remove the anode on my 1-month-old AO Smith water heater. I used a 1/2-inch drive air-powered impact wrench with 150+ psi air and a 6-sided impact socket. The anode would not budge.
I had read that some manufacturers use red Loctite when they install the anodes. I eventually got it out by draining about 2 gallons of water from the tank and then heating the anode with a small propane torch. I had to reheat it twice but finally, the impact driver got it to slowly move and come out.
The new install was then easy. Before plugging in the powered anode, I refilled the water heater and opened a hot water faucet to purge any air from the tank. Then, I plugged in the anode power supply. It blinked green for several seconds and then stayed green.
I took photos with my phone. When I viewed the solid green LED on the power supply with my phone, it looked like it was blinking on the phone screen. With my eyes, it was not blinking. I think the phone sees things that my eyes cannot.
I have attached installation photos.

Very pleased with this product. We own 142 rentals in the Midwest and can say this product works as advertised. We order 5 units per month and have not had issues for the past 2 years. If you have any issues, Matt will contact you within hours, respond to your question or solve the issue. Very pleased. Thank You Very Much Matt!
Installation was easy. I still had a slight odor after 1 week and spoke with Matt. I raised my tank temp to 130 amd tje odor was gone the next day. No more changing anodes, very pleased and many thanks!
Very pleased.
It’s a no brainer if you remove the stink rod the odor stops. Virginian here, retired physics teacher with a 320 foot well in the hills. Very pleased with this product. Just purchased 2 more units for my good neigbors. First one purchased 3 years ago and I am solde, my water is clean when I fush the tank every 3 months. I would recommend!
I do not have hot water odor however a corrosion problem. This is our 4 unit from Matt. We could not removed the anode therefore installed the T system. Thanks Matt!
Very please with the product.
I purchase from Matt every month for our vacation rentals since 2015. I did have an issue with 3 units with a red light issue which were replaced at no cost. Their product works as they state. We have never replaced a tank since using this product.
Pleased with the results which is why I use this product. I dont have odor issues in the city. Never replaced a tank since I started using this product in 4 years.
I puchase dozens of these units from Matt every month, great customer service, outstanding product!
We had our new home built in 2021 and installed 2-40 gallon rheem gas water tanks. I searched for a product to get rid of the hot water odor and bought an amazon best seller product. After 9 months we started seeing black speks in our water with an unusual smell. I first tested the units with a volt meter which showed .7 amd .8 volts going to the anode. I pulled one unit out of the tank and found it had been leaking from the plastic top which soaked the insualltion around the tank and basically runining it. The other one was showing signs of chips falling off the anode. I compained to the seller and never heard a word. I spend $319.80 on their product and they did not have the curtosy to even offer me a replacement. I went back to the standard anode on the one tank, purchased a new tank and the odor came back.
I reviewed this products website and decided to buy one unit. When I tested this units voltage 6 months later it was 2.3 volts and the anode looked brand new. I purchased a second unit and have no odor at all now and I do feel I have proper corrosion protection voltage.
I wouild recomend this product.
Hello Mat, Just want to let you know this product worked great on my Hot Water Heater using well water. The installation was easy. I'm sending you a few pictures, but you really can't see much because everything went so well and is nice and neat. Thanks for a very good product. The first picture is of the original "1 1/16 plug on the old Anode rod. Bob A.
