No need to pay for a higher priced brand that has leaking flaws or a lower priced brand that is nothing more than a gimmick, stick to a science based product which this is. My company installs close to 50 water heaters per month here in Michigan. 50% of the residences are in rural areas using non-treated water. I purchased 6 units in 2025 from Matt 1 year ago to test the results in some tanks of an apartment building I own. The sediment flush was reduced by 90% since I got rid of the aluminum anode and their no odor whatsoever. I did have 1 unit fail (red led flashing) and received a new controller 4 days later free of charge. This type of customer service this day and age is unprecedented. Great product and well worth the investment.
