Great email advice
I had an issue with the red light on the box. contactd matt and found out the ground wire was not tight. I was too tired to check everything do to my working hours. I would buy this man dinner at the finest steak house for his product and emails. it only took 3 minutes to figure this out and getting it working. Thank you.

We buy around 10 to 20 units every month and have for the past 8 years. If there is ever an issue question, Matt responds.

We moved into a rual home and had horrific smelling hot water odor. We have a 40 gallon AO smith unit. I found this product and decided to give it a try. My husband and his brother help him remove what they called the 'stink rod' and installed it. The instructions were clear and well written. My husband followed the recomendation of flushing our tank, turning up the thermostat to 140 overnight then back down the next day. It has been around 1 month and there is no odor at all. We are very pleased.

I moved into a brand new house with a well, whole house R.O. ,softener and chlorine injection. We had sulfur smell even with top of the line purification equipment. After several weeks of trying to make adjustments to the system with no relief, we narrowed it down to the hot water. We have a Rheem Classic Plus Professional water heater. The specs show it having a magnesium anode rod. After doing a little homework, I found waterodor.com and with the reviews I decided to try it. The directions are very easy to follow and it was not hard to install. The toughest part is getting the old anode rod out but it came out quite easily with a battery powered impact wrench to just loosen it. There's an outlet next to the water heater so it was easy to connect to a power source. I did not flush the heater, but I did turn the temperature up to 140 degrees overnight before I installed the new rod. Within a day of use, the smell was gone. It's been in two months now and we haven't had a sulfur smell problem since. My neighbor had the same problem and has the same water heater. He changed the anode rod to an aluminum anode and says the sulfur smell had stopped, but he will have to replace it eventually.

I was skeptical about this product since I had purchased a different brand on amazon which did nothing but trash my water tank by leaks. I was moving anyway and the tank was old so not a real loss.
I offer this review 60 days from my purchase. I am pleased so far and will purchase other for my rentals. Your website has a lot of good information and I appriciate that. I will say that your claim of monitors the tank is correct. After my softner cycled, the voltage lowered, 2 days later it went back up since my unit cycles every 3 days.
Thank you Matt

I followed the recommendations to crank up the tank temperature to kill bacteria. Drained off maybe 5 gallons to install the new anode. Installation was simple following some of the photos and info from the website. Big plus is to have an impact gun, no need to wrestle with the tank and breaker bar. So far water has no odor but to be honest I’m not sure if it is from the anode or the bacteria kill. If it comes back I will follow up.

I have been buying this product for 2 years. I had 2 complaints of a red led in June. Contacted Matt, found out it was a bad led on the power supply. 4 days later I had the replacement boxes. This type of customer service is solid.

Purchased in May 2014. Last week hubby noticed the green light was off, plugged in, green light stayed off but the red light flickerer on when I plugged it in. Contacted seller. New power plug came 2 days later and all is well now. I figured they would be out of busness by now but not and i am shocked they sent us another replacement. Never had this type of customer experiance 7 years after my purchase from anyone, never. Thank you very much Matt

I own a plumbing company and install close to 30 water tanks a month. I have recently used this product for customers complaining of hot water odor smells. I have purchased close to 50 units since march 2021. I have a better customer base because of this product and now buy from this site for the volume discount. I would recommend this product.

Thanks for getting back to us so quickly Matt. Our heater is up and running again, and the install of your product was a piece of cake. I had anticipated the old anode would be depleted (tank is 2 years 4 months old and we have softened water) but found it was only partially so. That makes me feel very hopeful that we will get extra years out of it now that your product is "in charge" of the tank. Again, thanks for your impressively responsive, timely replies. Never before have I felt so complimentary towards someone who has got me in hot water!
Have a bountifully blessed week.

I am a retired engineer from GM in the electronics division. I purchased 2 systems from Amazon that had great reviews. 1.2Vdc and .05Vdc were the readings to the anode current after 2 months. 3 months later the power unit went out on one unit, the other was .2Vdc. When I removed the anode, the black coating was flaking off. No chemical eching was noticed on the rod which told me this is a very cheap product.
I purchased the water tank tec system 3 months ago for both of my tanks. Each tank is an A.O. Smith short 50 gallon unit. Each week I tested both tanks. #1 2.43Vdc and #2 2.47Vdc consistant voltage on each tank.
This product performs as described.
