Almost retured plumber here. I have been purchasing this brand for 8 years. If I have a problem, it is resulved quickly by Matt. I have never had a rust failure on any of my installations with this product. I do recomend it.

My neighbor told me about this website and product. I wish we had known before. Unfortunately, we and our plumber did not know what was happening to our water heater starting at 4 months old. The water at all the faucets was spurting badly, stunk terribly and when we drained about 5 gallons from the tank every few days, it was very yellowish brown and full of white particles. But the plumber said the white particles were not the dip tube and did not offer to help us put in a new dip tube. The makers of the water heater (A O Smith) were also of no help. We even went to the expense of water testing because we are on well water. By the time we finally found another plumber to put the new electric anode in, the dip tube broke off and all he got was the top nut which was completely corroded. Not knowing what the inside of the tank was like even though all the problems disappeared immediately, we opted to get a new water heater and put the Electric Anode in before it was even installed.

If your looking to stop your hot water odor, any brand will work as their website says. I will say I like this unit better since the website has a lot more information than just hype that we did not know. Our voltage was 3.1 when first installed, 4 hours later it was 2.1 and stayed there. I disconnected it, reconnected it and the voltage was 3.2 the settled back to 2.1 so the sellers is truthfull. This product is worth the money as I have used it frequently with my company for several years. I install around 7 of them per month and have never had a customer call me with the tank leaking. I will say that consumers keep their tank temperature way too low. 120 degrees will allow bacteria to grow and you’re going to get odor. After I install this product, I turn the temperature up to 130 which is not really noticeable on the monthly bill electric bill. This will keep the bacteria in check. I will say I like the fact that Matt always responds to my emails (lost the extension rod one evening) and was sent a free one. Very Pleased. M&B plumbing.

Retired electronic engineer. I know nothing about the electronics of a powered anode but I do know electronic components. I looked at this product that it shows and compared other brands to it. I realized that no other brand shows or talks about their electronics only comments on what it can do. Their photos are always to the side of their power unit which leads me to think they are hiding something or they don’t have a clue on what they are selling. My daughter and I own several rentals, we purchased 3 of these units last year. The voltage output is 1.9 - 1.7 - 2.1 on all tanks. I flush the tanks every September and the water is clean and clear. The led is still green on all three tanks therefore we purchased more. Very pleased with this product.

It has been 1 years to labor day I installed your product on my new 40 gallon tanks. I flushed them as you recomend and was amaized that the water was clear. Never had this result before. The led is still green on both tanks, we have no odor and I am very pleased. Thank you Matt.

I dont have a problem with hot water odor but do have a problem with changing anodes every 8 months since due to my water source. I installed this product 4 years ago and have recently purchased 2 more units for my rentals that are 25 miles from my current water table. I flush my tank every year and have no little to no sediment anymore. The green light stays lit and I have little to no odor. Very pleased and I want to thank Matt for helping me through a dificult installation on my new rental units. I would whole heart recomend!

I purchased the most highly rated product on amazon. 4 month later water was seeping out of the top of this peice of crap and leaking on my garage floor. this ruined my tank.I contacted the company and demanded my money back which they gave me. I bought a new tank and the water stunk to hight heaven. I got this brand and 9 months alter the odor is still gone and when i flushed the tank last week as matt recomended the water was clear with nothing in it. Great product.

Very pleased with the product. We purchase 2 units 6 months ago to test them before we introduced into our product line. The power supply voltage and current does fluctuate as stated on the website. I would recomend.

I dont have an odor issue, an adode issue. Wanted to wait until i new for sure this product was worth the hype. When i isnstalled it last feb it showed 2.3 volts going to the andoe it was 2.1 volts a month later and is now at 2.7 volts. The green light stays lit and i dont any issues. i flushed it last week and the water was clear. Like the product.

Thanks so much for getting back with me in a quick manner. I checked the installtion as you recomended and everything was correct. I did check our tanks temp as you recomended, it was set at 110 so I adjusted it and the odor is gone. Hubby flushed the tank and 5 minutes of crap came out. No odor since. Thanks very much Matt.
